kingom thinking part two

                    Welcome to my Blog

If you are here again for week two of the  Kingdom Teaching ; welcome,  and if you are just looking for the first time then I give you a big hello and hope you will keep looking and listening to the Lord.

Acts chapter 4 kingdom living part two.
This time I am going to be using the Bible a little bit more and seeing how the new testament is full of Kingdom thinkers and builders.
The new church was full of them and they wanted to know more about what they were expect to do and to be as new believers. They did not have the full Bible  ( as we do ) but they did have Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the apostles who were able to tell them first hand  what Jesus was like and his teaching. I would of loved to been there and meet Peter etc.
So in all this  they became  Kingdom thinkers but also world changers. If it was not for them sticking it out in the hard times,  the Gospel would of not gone so far.

I always wanted to travel and see the world, I got to Holland and thought maybe this is it,  but I know in my heart that the Lord has more for me than I think. so come on lets get busy with the kingdom and all that it holds.

3rd Saturday
Acts  10 Peter and Cornelius  (verse 34-38)

What a chapter in life of the new church, Peter gets a vision about eating food that he sees.it is unclean, then Cornelius needs Peter to come and tell him the Good News about Jesus. Did you know it was so NOT done to go into a non-Jewish house and even to eat with them, it was a no no. Peter broke the mold because he wanted to obey Jesus . He was learning not to think within his own culture,  but he was thinking like a Kingdom thinker. So here it is also for us, are we ready for God to do something extraordinary in our lives?

4th Sunday

Acts 12  1 to 18 Peter and his escape from Prison

I want to focus on the servant girl and the people in the house, they were praying for Peter, but we do not know what they were praying otherwise they would not been in shock when Peter arrived at their house. but the servant girl is the person for me, she was not surprised at all. I bet she was listening to the prayers and she herself was praying for one of the leaders of the way. When simple faith takes action it becomes the biggest faith there is.

5th Monday
 Saul come Paul Acts 9

When I had been a Christan  a while,  I heard a sermon where they said Saul never really changed his name. But when he was with the gentiles he was Paul and when he was with the Jews he was Saul. He only changed his name,  but not what he believed or who he was, He himself says that he is a jew to the jew, and a greek to the greek in order to save them (I Corinthians 9) He did it so not to offend people. What about you, do you change when you are with different people, for the good or for the bad.??
Lets just be us this day and be the Kingdom thinker God has made us to be.

6th Tuesday
John prepares the way  Matthew 3 verse 4

Lets go back a little bit to the moment before Jesus was in the public eye and John was getting everybody ready for His coming. They say that John and Jesus played together as children and knew each other well.
They were cousins.  John must of been some one of great character to carry the burden of being the forerunner for the Messiah. His life was set for one thing and one thing only ; to live out the destiny which God had for him. What about your destiny,  are you living it our for Jesus or just looking at it and thinking em, maybe tomorrow. Come on!  be that Kingdom thinker and runner with us today.

7 Th Wednesday
 Solid food  Hebrews 5 11 to 14

I remember when I was first a Christan,  nobody told me about how to spend time with God or what prayer was etc. it was not until I went away for the weekend with my youthgroup and somebody was talking about QUIET TIMES. It was a bit of shock,  but it helped me to go from milk to more solid spiritual food,  and I realised I need more of Jesus,  if I was going to go somewhere for him. What about you? Do you need more of Jesus, been standing still for a while?  Then it is time to get some solid food again and grow.

8th Thursday

Kingdom thinker Amy Carmichael

She is one of my heroes of the faith, wanted to be in China, but ended up in India rescueing children from temple prostitution. When she started there she had no more than a shack and when she finished she had three school, two hospitals, four houses for the boys and four the girls, a church and her own compound  and lots of workers.
When she wanted to go to China,  people where shocked, and said; there is no need for women to be in China.
But she knew in her heart that Jesus was calling her to be a Kingdom builder and so her legacy lives on in India . Her organisation is still going on today. That is what I want to leave behind.
Something that will make people say ; She was a kingdom builder, is that what you want too??

9th Friday
  Narnia movies

I have to say ; when I normally get to Friday it is late and I get a bit tired. But this week I am starting the other way around,  so lets get to it. I love the narnia movies , and I like the Voyage of the dawn treader and Eustace. ( which makes me laugh )  But i think the one bit that touches my heart is where he is turned into the dragon and the mouse goes to him. He says extra ordinary events only happen to extra ordinary people and maybe this is a sign to say; what your life will be like.  So lets think that today and be a positive Jesus-freak and think ; What can I do to turn the world upside down for Jesus today!!!!

well have a blessed week and love you

Jayne

Ps my Husband helped this week so lets give him some praise for his help :--))
